Finally, a grain flaker and roller attachment for KitchenAid that unlocks the flavor, nutrients, and affordability of freshly flaked grains!
Wolfgang Mock has created this grain flaker for the grain lovers who want to create flakes from a wide assortment of grains, including: oats, wheat, rye, and barley.
If the grain is soft (such as oats), it may flake without any problems. If it is hard, it may need to be softened before it is flaked.
To soften grains, do this:
Place the grains in a zip lock bag or sealed container, along with a little water. The ratio we recommend is 1 teaspoon of water per cup of grain. Seal the grains and water in a container and shake it. After shaking, let it sit for a few hours or overnight. The grains should be softened and ready to flake. Beware not to add too much water because doing so may result in clogging the flaker.
Compatible with KitchenAid*, Kenmore, and AEG models
*Does not fit the KitchenAid Artisan Mini (200w) mixer.
